Researchers are expected to sign a MOU with the WCED.
Before the data is handed over the Researcher will provide an acceptable Monitoring and Evaluation
framework for his/her project which also explains the security measures in place to protect the data.
Access to and usage of the dataset is limited to individuals mentioned in the application form.
Researchers are expected to deposit a copy of the completed report/working paper/journal article/
thesis and any further publications originating from the current data request, with the WCED.
The researcher will deposit the data output with the WCED with a detailed explanation of the processes followed.
The researchers will be expected to destroy the dataset once the study has been completed.
The researcher understands that the WCED can use the report and the dataset in a manner that is preferred by management.
The researcher understands that new variables created can be incorporated into the WCED processes to improve data packaging in the future.
Data will be provided in aggregated format.
The WCED will engage researchers to try and get the perfect data fit for the proposed study.
In the isolated cases where learner level data is approved, this will be anonymised.
For learner level data the release will be limited to those learners who are in the sample.
